Kapayuba Visionary Hapé – Shawãdawa Tradition
Open the Eye of the Spirit. Strengthen the Colors of the Song.
Kapayuba Visionary Hapé is a sacred gift from the Shawãdawa people, crafted with deep reverence by the healer Shawãkaya under the light of the full moon. This rare blend weaves together powerful Tsunu ash and Kapayuba, a revered forest plant known for its ability to awaken vision and illuminate the inner world.
In the words of our elder teachers, this Hapé is not simply for grounding or clearing. It is a medicine of vision—a guide for the soul. In ceremonial contexts, especially when working with Ayahuasca, Kapayuba is used to activate the spiritual senses, allowing one to hear the healing songs with greater clarity and see the colors of the spirit world with vivid intensity. It is medicine for those walking the deeper path of spiritual study and remembrance.
A Tool for Healing & Study
Kapayuba Hapé carries the same foundational functions of traditional Hapé—cleansing, centering, grounding—but with an added dimension. It is a medicine for spiritual exploration, for sitting with questions that can’t be answered with words, and for listening to the teachings of the forest with the inner ear.
It is often used during:
Spiritual study and dieta work
Healing sessions (material and energetic)
Visionary ceremonies with sacred plants
Moments of prayer, creativity, and personal alignment
For those called to go deeper, observing a light diet—reducing salt, sugar, and distractions—can enhance the subtlety of this medicine’s teachings. But even without dieta, Kapayuba meets you where you are, guiding the spirit gently toward what needs to be seen, heard, or remembered.
What Makes It Sacred:
Crafted by Shawãkaya, a respected Shawãdawa medicine carrier
Harvested under the full moon, when the energies of vision and clarity are most alive
Contains Kapayuba, a sacred herb used in ancestral ceremonies to open perception
Infused with intention for spiritual healing, guidance, and connection to the forest
This is a medicine for those who are ready to listen.
Rare. Deep. Visionary.
Walk with it as you would with a teacher. With respect, humility, and an open heart.
🜃 Offered in limited quantities due to the rarity of Kapayuba and the ceremonial nature of its preparation.

Hapé is a very sacred herbal snuff, made by the indigenous tribes of the Amazon. Hapé, or rapé, is pronounced ‘haa-pay’ in English and is applied using an applicator to blow the snuff up the nostrils in prayer and meditation. It is used to connect with Mother Nature. This healing snuff is used by traditional peoples to cleanse the mind, purify the thoughts, bring clarity, spiritual alignment, and clear negativity and heaviness from the body, mind, & soul.
The indigenous tribes have been working with this medicine for thousands of years to heal their communities and to connect with the Creator. This plant medicine takes days to make and is a very labor intensive process made in a ceremonial way, out of various Amazonian healing medicinal plants, leaves, trees and seeds from native lands.
Set & Setting: Create ceremonial space to commune with this medicine. Take time in meditation beforehand to set your intention.
Application: Hapé can be self-administered using a V-shaped self-applicator pipe, known as a ‘Kuripe’ pipe which connects the mouth to the nostrils. It can also be administered by another person using a large blow pipe, called a ‘Tepi’, which connects the blower’s mouth to the other person’s nostrils.
Use: Start with a dime sized amount to begin your practice. Pour the medicine into your palm, say a prayer and align with the spirit of the hapé . Next, scoop half of the hapé into the nose end of the pipe and gently tap it with a finger to settle the powder into the kuripe’s v-shaped elbow. With the Kuripe loaded, inhale a deep breath and hold it while placing the correct ends of the pipe comfortably into the left nostril and between lips. With eyes closed gently exhale the breath, blowing the hapé up the left nostril first, and then the right.
After you have applied, sit for 5-10 minutes in meditation, feeling the effects. Always work with this plant ally in a ceremonial setting, in reverence and prayer. Hapé should never be consumed habitually or socially.
Dosage can be increased after prolonged use once one becomes more accustom to working with this medicine and has built a relationship with the plant and hapé as a spiritual tool.
