We are honored to continue to support the incredible vision of one of our wisdom keepers, Nana Marina Cruz. Nana has spearheaded the non-profit, The Association of Walkers for Peace, Jun Imox. The organization is comprised of spiritual guides of Tz'utujil, K'iche and Kaqchikel Mayan descent; midwives, healers, and community leaders from Guatemala. The purpose of the Association is to acquire ancestral lands, preserve and promote their indigenous wisdom, and provide mental, physical, and spiritual healing to those in need - in an effort to contribute harmony to the heart of humanity.
Since we began supporting this initiative a year ago, many exciting organizational steps have taken place to bring this vision to fruition. Architectural renderings have been created and they are preparing to move forward with the first phase of construction, utilizing natural materials and keeping the artistry of their ancestral tradition close to heart in the vision and execution.
