About Product
We are excited and grateful to provide these gorgeous handmade tepis from a Shipibo artisan family featuring rosewood for heart opening, bringing joy and sweetness in your life.
Intricate Shipibo beadwork on these pieces represent the Icaros (chants of the culture). Each woven seed represents a prayer and intention being woven into the design. It is said that when one of these tepis calls to you, it signifies that the prayer of the specific piece resonates with the vibration in your own soul’s blueprint. You are being called to support you in deepening within the specific power or intention that that weaving invokes. This tepi provides for a smooth and clean application. Enjoy this high quality pipe that will last many years!
The Ceremonial Practice of Hapé
Hapé should always be worked with from a place of reverence and respect.
What follows is the recommended ceremonial protocol drawn from indigenous tradition and our ethical stewardship of the medicine.

1
Create Sacred Space
Set up your altar. Light a candle. Smudge with sage, palo santo, or copal. Have a bucket, tissue, and water nearby. Silence your phone. Step into sacred space with intention.
-
2
Set Your Intention
Before touching the medicine, sit quietly. Allow a clear prayer or intention to arise. Let it come from the heart. The plants will hear it.
-
3
Determine Dosage
Begin with a pea-sized amount. Ceremonial doses are larger, reserved for deep purification with an established practice. Start small and build a relationship with the medicine over time.
-
4
Load the Medicine
Spoon the dosage onto your palm. Use the nostril side of applicator to gently flatten it. Scoop half into the pipe. Hold the kuripe to your heart or third eye in a moment of gratitude before beginning.
-
5
Application
Inhale fully and hold the breath. Insert the kuripe into the left nostril. Exhale sharply through the mouth end, blowing the medicine upward. Reload and apply to the right nostril. Apply both sides consecutively with minimal time between.
-
6
Receive & Surrender
Put the kuripe down. Sit or lie in stillness. Do not resist. Breathe through any intensity. Let the plants cleanse.
-
7
Prayer & Meditation
When stillness arrives, enter into presence and prayer. Speak to the Creator, to the plant spirits, to your ancestors. Listen and receive the guidance, insights, and teachings.

Beyond Fair Trade™
The Impact You Help Create
Every time you support Four Visions,
you make this happen:
Indigenous cultures receive support to develop international commerce in allyship against the invasion of industries, such as petroleum, logging, gold, and jade mining; which threaten destruction of pristine natural resources and the erasure of their cultural inheritance.
The gold standard for ethical sourcing and beyond-fair-trade compensation is established. This guarantees the cultivation, harvesting, and sharing of these medicines are in harmony with the Earth and in reciprocity with our medicine makers and their communities.
You strengthen partnerships which sustain indigenous communities in nourishing the next generation of artists, botanists, and healers with the fruits of their culture. This helps the youth see the value of their traditions as a path to prosperity by honoring the ways of their ancestors.
A percentage of your purchase funds various charitable organizations to preserve indigenous land, culture, and language.
You generate resources which sustain our ability to allocate time, connections, planning, and execution of both short and long-term annual initiatives, in partnership with our various nonprofit alliances.
