Hapé is a very sacred herbal snuff, made by the indigenous tribes of the Amazon. Hapé, or rapé, is pronounced ‘haa-pay’ in English and is applied using an applicator to blow the snuff up the nostrils in prayer and meditation. It is used to connect with Mother Nature. This healing snuff is used by traditional peoples to cleanse the mind, purify the thoughts, bring clarity, spiritual alignment, and clear negativity and heaviness from the body, mind, & soul.

The indigenous tribes have been working with this medicine for thousands of years to heal their communities and to connect with the Creator. This plant medicine takes days to make and is a very labor intensive process made in a ceremonial way, out of various Amazonian healing medicinal plants, leaves, trees and seeds from native lands.

Corda (Sabiá) Artisanal Tobacco, Tsunu Ashes.

Storage: Please keep hapé in the airtight containers they come in, keep away from wet, damp and humid conditions, and store away from direct sunlight.

Consumption recommendations are based on use by traditional peoples. This product is not approved by the FDA and is not intended to diagnose or treat any illness. All product information is for educational purposes only. We recommend consulting your medical practitioner before beginning treatment.

    Spiritual Connection

  1. 1

    Create Sacred Space

Set up your altar. Light a candle. Smudge with sage, palo santo, or copal. Have a bucket, tissue, and water nearby. Silence your phone. Step into sacred space with intention.

  2. 2

    Set Your Intention

Before touching the medicine, sit quietly. Allow a clear prayer or intention to arise. Let it come from the heart. The plants will hear it.

  3. 3

    Determine Dosage

Begin with a pea-sized amount. Ceremonial doses are larger, reserved for deep purification with an established practice. Start small and build a relationship with the medicine over time.

  4. 4

    Load the Medicine

Spoon the dosage onto your palm. Use the nostril side of applicator to gently flatten it. Scoop half into the pipe. Hold the kuripe to your heart or third eye in a moment of gratitude before beginning.

  5. 5

    Application

Inhale fully and hold the breath. Insert the kuripe into the left nostril. Exhale sharply through the mouth end, blowing the medicine upward. Reload and apply to the right nostril. Apply both sides consecutively with minimal time between.

  6. 6

    Receive & Surrender

Put the kuripe down. Sit or lie in stillness. Do not resist. Breathe through any intensity. Let the plants cleanse.

  7. 7

    Prayer & Meditation

When stillness arrives, enter into presence and prayer. Speak to the Creator, to the plant spirits, to your ancestors. Listen and receive the guidance, insights, and teachings.

It is carried through breath, sealed with intention, and transmitted as life force from one person to another. A serving of hapé is never random. It is a transmission.

The Huni Kuin use a wide variety of tree ashes in their blends. Murici ash is seen as cleansing and clearing of heavy energy, while Tsunu offers balance and grounding.
