Yawanawa Food Sovereignty & Regenerative Economy

Yawanawa Food Sovereignty & Regenerative Economy

We’re thrilled to continue our alliance with New Hope Village in their quest to establish an incredible business initiative for their community through fish hatcheries that are designed to cultivate thousands of fish per pond each year — providing healthy food for village families while generating surplus to sell in nearby towns. This model creates both nutrition and income, with profits reinvested into health, education, and community needs.

Beyond food security, the vision is bigger: strengthening cultural continuity, keeping families rooted on their land, and protecting hundreds of thousands of acres of rainforest by reducing dependence on extractive industries. Together, we are helping seed a regenerative, Indigenous-led economy where the forest — and the people — can truly thrive.

The Association of The Walkers for Peace

The Association of The Walkers for Peace

Spearheaded by Guatemalan Wisdom Keeper Nana Marina Cruz, this organization is composed of spiritual guides of Tz'utujil, K'iche and Kaqchikel Mayan descent; midwives, healers, and community leaders from Guatemala. Over the last three years we have been in deep alliance supporting the build of their cultural center for healing + preservation of traditional Mayan healing techniques

The center is dedicated to developing health programs for local Mayan community members using traditional healing practices, intercultural education, protection and recovery of sacred places, food sovereignty, sustainability, and reforestation through community projects; and biodiversity and ecotourism initiatives in the Mayan Heartland. Four Visions has donated over $100,000 to this project so far, which has served as the seed donations for architectural designs, permits, and the first phase of building. We look forward to continuing to support them in bringing this incredible vision to life.

Health Brigades — Four Years of Intercultural Care in the Amazon

Health Brigades — Four Years of Intercultural Care in the Amazon

Over the past four years, we have sponsored annual Health Brigades in partnership with Magic Fund that have brought culturally rooted, community-led healthcare to Indigenous communities in Putumayo, Colombia. In close collaboration with Inga, Kamëntsá, and Siona leadership, traditional healers, and local health practitioners, we have supported more than 2,000 Indigenous community members through accessible, integrative care.

Each brigade blends ancestral wisdom with modern preventive medicine — strengthening traditional healing practices while expanding access to natural, non-invasive treatments. Services have included IV vitamin therapy, ozone therapy, traditional herbal consultations, spiritual cleansings (limpias), health screenings, wellness education, and the distribution of botanical remedies.

More than clinical care, these gatherings foster intercultural exchange, disease prevention, and long-term health sovereignty — empowering communities with tools, knowledge, and resources to care for themselves and future generations.

What began as a single brigade has grown into an ongoing commitment to healing roots and strengthening communities. We are honored to continue walking alongside our partners in service of lasting wellness and Indigenous self-determination.

Emergency Relief Funding

Emergency Relief Funding

Every year, we set aside a portion of our funds for individual families in need. In the remote Amazonian territories, Indigenous communities are often left without access to critical services — abandoned in times of urgent need by the systems meant to protect them. These funds help to bridge that gap, providing rapid, life-saving support when emergencies threaten the survival of Indigenous individuals and families.

Through this fund, we respond to urgent crises — from medical emergencies and housing insecurity to situations requiring immediate humanitarian aid. Our focus is to uphold the dignity and sovereignty of Indigenous peoples by ensuring they receive the care and support they are too often denied.

Every contribution to the Emergency Relief Fund directly supports Indigenous lives, honoring their resilience and standing in solidarity where governments have failed. Direct donations to our Emergency Fund mean we can tend to more of the dozens of applications we receive each year. See Past Initiatives for more details of past use of these funds.

Siakumne Tribal Alliance

Siakumne Tribal Alliance

As part of our commitment to reciprocity with the original stewards of the lands where Four Visions operates, two years ago we began a partnership with the Siakumne Tribe of Northern California to support the restoration of their ancestral village site, Pata Panaka, in the Sierra Foothills. FV grants have gone towards caring for the land, improving and rebuilding certain vital structures, sponsoring their annual indigenous peoples day, and funding certain necessary tools for the maintenance of the village site.

In 2025, we had the honor of standing beside Chief Don Ryberg and his family as they rebuilt their community sweat house — the heart of Siakumne prayer, ceremony, and cultural memory. More than a structure, the sweat house is a living sanctuary where stories, songs, and lineage are carried forward for future generations. Alongside this effort, we also supported heritage site reforestation and land restoration projects to help protect and regenerate their sacred homelands.

What began as a meeting on red earth among the oaks has grown into an ongoing alliance rooted in friendship, mutual respect, and shared prayer. We are deeply grateful to support the Siakumne people as they continue revitalizing their traditions, restoring their lands, and strengthening cultural continuity — honoring those who have cared for this territory since time immemorial.

Heaven & Earth Ancestral League:

Heaven & Earth Ancestral League:

For the past two years, we have partnered with H.E.A.L. — the Heaven & Earth Ancestral League, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting veterans seeking deep healing through ancestral plant medicine. Together, we have provided full scholarships for 15 veterans to participate in Operation Purify, a 14-day Ancestral Healing Retreat in Colombia

These retreats offer a structured, ceremonial container where veterans can safely process trauma, release long-held grief, and reconnect with their bodies, spirit, and sense of purpose. Through plant medicine work, traditional healing practices, and community support, participants address the invisible wounds of service — including PTSD, depression, and emotional isolation — in ways that conventional systems often fail to reach.

Supporting the healing of those who have given so much in service to others is a responsibility we hold with deep respect. We remain committed to expanding access to these life-changing medicines and ensuring our veterans have pathways to true restoration, resilience, and homecoming and look forward to sending more brave warriors to the jungle in 2026

Planting Magic

Planting Magic

From 2023 through 2025, Four Visions served as a principal sponsor and strategic advisor to the Planting Magic initiative in partnership with Magic Fund Amazon — a long-term effort dedicated to restoring and protecting ancestral medicinal plants in their native rainforest ecosystems.

Through direct funding, hands-on support, and trusted community relationships, we helped bring this vision to life: regenerating threatened botanicals, strengthening Indigenous stewardship of traditional plant knowledge, and ensuring future generations have access to the sacred medicines that have sustained their cultures for centuries.

As part of this commitment, FV also sponsored a collaborative music project produced by Ajeet Kaur and Peia Luzzi, featuring medicine songs by Indigenous elders and artists including Taita Juanito. Created to raise awareness and funds for conservation, the album channels the power of music to protect the plants themselves — with proceeds supporting the initiative’s ongoing multi-year maintenance and care. Planting Magic is more than restoration — it is reciprocity in action: returning resources to the land and the communities who have safeguarded these medicines since time immemorial. We are honored to continue supporting this work in 2026 and over the next few years, as we are just getting started with cultivation of this vision. • Elders’ Fund — Honoring Wisdom Keepers of the Amazon

Elders’ Fund — Honoring Wisdom Keepers of the Amazon

For the last four years, Four Visions has proudly served as the primary sponsor of the Elders’ Fund — a series of initiatives dedicated to honoring and caring for Indigenous elders, the wisdom keepers and lineage carriers of their communities, in partnership with Magic Fund.

Focusing on the Putumayo region of Colombia, we have supported grandmothers and grandfathers whose lives have been devoted to healing, teaching, and preserving ancestral knowledge. Our contributions focus on improving quality of life through safe housing, medical access, and essential infrastructure — ensuring these elders can continue sharing their traditions with dignity and strength.

Our 2025 efforts included home renovations and clean water access for Taita Ediberto, one of the last living guardians of the Cofán tradition; the construction of a safe, accessible home for 80-year-old Abuelo Albertino; and providing Abuela Muydokuri, a revered Witoto midwife and healer, with a new boat to travel safely between remote communities. More than material support, this work is an act of reciprocity — protecting the people who safeguard the medicines, songs, and teachings that guide future generations. We are honored to stand beside these elders and ensure their voices continue to thrive for years to come. This is surely to be part of our 2026 giving back, and will be addressed as needs arise.

  • Children of the Rainforest Language School

Children of the Rainforest Language School

Four Visions’ monthly contributions helped pay the salaries of the teachers of Isku Vakehuhu Yawanawa Language School. These funds were also directed towards the maintenance and upkeep of the school. Under Chief Iskukua’s guidance and vision, the school expanded in 2023, and Four Visions was able to sponsor the build of one of the four additional classrooms that they added. • Building the Foundation for Food Sovereignty With New Hope Village

Building the Foundation for Food Sovereignty With New Hope Village

Last year, we supported the launch of the Yawanawa Food Sovereignty & Regenerative Economy initiative — a community-led vision to create reliable, local food systems and long-term economic independence in the Amazon. Together, we helped secure and insure a backhoe that is now fully owned and operated by New Hope Village under the stewardship of Chief IskuKua.

This essential piece of equipment made it possible to begin digging dozens of fish hatchery ponds and training local operators — the first step in building a sustainable source of protein and income for families. By investing in tools and infrastructure rather than short-term aid, the community began laying the groundwork for true autonomy, nourishment, and resilience.

  • Musical Roots Recovery Project

    Musical Roots Recovery Project

In 2024, we funded the Musical Roots Recovery Project in partnership with Magic Fund for the Ingano community of Cundaguá, offering a complete year of immersive musical education for local children. Over the course of the program, students received their own instruments and participated in an ongoing series of workshops that introduced them to proper instrument care, foundational technique, breathwork, posture, rhythm, and traditional Ingano music.

Guided by elders and teachers, the children learned ancestral melodies and sacred techniques passed down through generations — reconnecting with the sounds, stories, and cultural memory of their lineage. What began as music education grew into something deeper: confidence, pride, and joyful cultural revitalization throughout the entire community.

  • Past Emergency Relief Funding

    Past Emergency Relief Funding

In 2025, we supported José Arley Garreta Macuace, a young Indigenous man who, after a devastating motorcycle accident, was left critically injured without access to specialized medical care. Thanks to the Emergency Relief Fund, José received the medical attention, rehabilitation, and support necessary for his recovery. The support that José needed was extensive, including ongoing clinical evaluations, hospitalization, follow-ups, medications, nutrition, basic living needs, physical therapy, and psychological support. Thanks to our support, José has been able to make incredible progress towards regaining a dignified life.

Last year we also contributed to Taita Humberto’s medical expenses. Abuelo Humberto Piaguaje is from the Siona and plays a crucial role in the Yagé communities of Putumayo. Following a stroke, he needed various medical treatments, hospitalization, and physical therapy. We contributed substantially to help cover the costs of his care.

In 2024, we supported an Ingano School in Putumayo for over 40 children who had no toilet at their school. We were able to build them washroom facilities. It was incredibly rewarding and humbling to see the happy faces of sweet, innocent children, thanking us for their new bathroom. These are just a few of the many small acts of solidarity we’ve been able to offer over the years through our partnership with Magic Fund.
