The sacred copal tree is a long-standing plant ally for the shamanic wisdom traditions of South America. This Colombian Copal is traditionally used throughout a Yagé ceremony, to moveheavy energiesand support the shamanic journeys of participants. Copal is perhaps our strongest, most potent smudging agent and is great to have on hand for moments when you are needing the strength and power of copalito.

*Please note, we call this "white" copal because this is what our Colombian partners call their copal, however, this is NOT the lighter, Mexican copal with the sweet aroma. It is sweet, but its denser, and produces a thick, heavy smoke. This is one of the best smudging agents fordeep shamanic practices.*

Four Visions starter set offers amazing savings and has everything you need to get started smudging your home. Our kit includes a beautiful cast iron copaleiro, 6oz of copal, and a roll of quick lighter charcoal coals.

This sweet little copaleiro is perfectly convenient in size yet does the job superbly by generating enough smoke to smudge your entire home, office, car, or sacred space. Great for travel.

To Prepare: Our Amazonian Copal comes large chunks, exactly how it was harvested. This is traditionally how it is shared. To prepare, take a piece of the copal and place it in a mortar and pestle, grinding it up into a fine powder. During this process, place your prayers and good intentions into the copal, dialoguing with the spirit of the plant ally's medicine and asking for a relationship with this copal to be formed. Then, when you go to use it, you have established your relationship with the copal and the resin's powers will recognize your spirit and what you need.

Usage: Light one of the quick lighting charcoals and place it inside the Copeleiro. Place a small piece of copal or a pinch of ground copal powder upon a burning charcoal to let the smoke burn. Smudge your entire home, office, car, or sacred space. It is recommended to do a heavy smudging with all doors and windows of your space closed, and then open the windows and doors when you complete the smudging prayer.
