Our organic wildcrafted Sejé Oil, also known as Patauá, Rahua, or Bataua Oil, is extracted from the fruit pulp of Oenocarpus bataua using the traditional method in which the fruits are first soaked in hot water to segregate the pulp from the seeds. Resembling a lot like its Amazonian cousin Acai Berries, Patawa (Bataua) fruits are deep-purple colored berries wild harvested from the very tall Ungurahui (Seje) palms (up to 43 metres in height) naturally abundant in the tropical rainforests of Amazon region.

Traditionally used by natives tribes of the Amazon as a hair loss and anti-dandruff treatment, Sejé (Pataua) Oil starts at the root moisturizing and calming the scalp, and works all the way to the ends of hair to promote intense hydration.

Because of the nutrients in the oil as well as the fatty acids and antioxidants, Pataua Oil is widely used as a nourishing moisturizer in skin care, and is particularly beneficial for those with aging, oily, or mature skin. Due to its abundant Vitamin E content (around 170mg/100g), Sejé Oil is a powerful antioxidant, preventing the proliferation of free radicals in the skin, assuring a better alimentation to the skin tissue and improving the elasticity of the skin, reducing wrinkles.

Sejé oil has also been used amongst the tribes internally as a lung fortifier, strengthening the respiratory health and supporting the elimination of disease and infection of the lungs.

External Use:
~ Magical Hair & Scalp Treatment: in treatment of dandruff, dry scalp, hair loss, and to offer shine and make hair follicles stronger, massage 1 dropperfull into scalp before bed and rinse out in the morning.
~ Skin: To recover suppleness in the skin and support anti-aging/wrinkle treatment, massage 1-2 dropperfulls all over body once a day. Use consistently for best results.
~ Treatment of Burns or Scars: apply directly to affected area to reduce lasting scarring and for healing of skin.

Internal Use:
~ To prevent or treat cough or other respiratory illnesses such as asthma or bronchitis, 6-10 drops in the morning and at night, until symptoms reduce. Can also mix into juice or water or make an elixir with the extract.

Best stored at room temperature to help maintain its liquidity. If extract hardens due to drop in temperature, you can simply place closed bottle in a bowl of warm water to liquify.

Extract of the fruit of the sejé palm, 5% sunflower oil to maintain liquid stable.
