It is one of the most powerful smudging agents used to invoke profound energetic spiritual cleansing, establish contact with spiritual beings and deepen our connection with the spiritual world. It is an excellent ally to call upon when needing to shift and move very heavy, dense, or negative energies.

Using a recipient such as a copaleiro or cauldren, place a small piece of Pegote upon a burning charcoal to let the smoke burn. Smudge yourself, your home, and altar space.
It is recommended to do a heavy smudging with Pegote with all doors and windows of your space closed, and then open the windows and doors when you complete the prayer.
